Why do pipes are cylindrical in shape?

 Hello everyone!!!

I hope you all are staying safe and secure.

For transporting the water from water tank to your tap we need a pipe. At this time did you ever thought that "why it is cylindrical in shape?"

Yes, about this only we are going to see in this blog. This is me Shyam and welcome to my blog!!!

To learn about it we should go to an age of 8. In this time we all will learn about edges, vertices, sides and etc... According to this we know that a circle does not have edges, vertices and sides.

A triangle or any other regular polygonal shape except circle has edges, vertices and sides.

We should know these basic concepts to learn about it with an experiment.

Take a square or triangular straw to drink your favorite drink. Here we take it as juice. When we suck the juice through the square or triangular straw, the straw becomes narrow in the edges. To overcome it we use a cylindrical straw because it has no edges, vertices and sides. With this experiment you could understand that why a fluid or gas transporting pipe are cylindrical in shape. [This is a main reason]

Some other reasons are:

  • A circle has a more surface area than any regular polygon.
  • The flow of fluid or gas will be uniformly distributed.
  • Manufacturing will be easy.

With this i am damn sure that you could understand why it is cylindrical in shape.

I will see you soon in my next blog.

Bye

Stay home!!!

Spread love!!!
